Excerpt from the Green Bay Press Gazette web site Posted on Thursday, July 9, 1998, Q & A at the annual meeting “Q: (Regarding the ballot sent to shareholders for re-electing members of the Packers' 45-member board of directors), I feel it was simply yea or nay and we had no input in the selection of candidates. It was, 'This is what you get or nothing.' What steps are you putting in place to allow more input for the owners as to the people who are elected? Harlan: "Anybody - owners, fans - can send us a letter nominating somebody for consideration for our board of directors. Once a name goes on that list, it does not come off until that person is elected to the board. So please send us names. We are looking for candidates. We would like to have input.” |
